Lancashire FA U18 Representative Squad – Season 2017/18.
The Lancashire FA aims to provide talented youth players with an opportunity to participate in representative football for their County, whilst further learning & developing within a professional environment, with its’ Under 18 representative squad.
The squad provides an opportunity to participate amongst the County’s elite players outside the professional game, and an opening to progress in your football development.
The Lancashire FA Under 18 Representative squad participates in two competitions throughout the course of a season – The Association of Northern Counties Youth Competition, and the prestigious FA County Youth Cup. The squad were National Champions in Season 2013/14 by winning The FA County Youth Cup and last season 2016/17 they won the Association of Northern Counties Youth Title, the County Representative Squad will be looking to continue its success into the coming season.
Players must be under the age of 18 on 31st August of the playing season (see below minimum age requirements) and be ‘non-contract’ and meet the necessary criteria (member of an affiliated Lancashire FA Club or College) to be eligible to represent the County’s Youth Team.
FA AGE RULE
To play in an Under 18 competition, a child must have attained the age of 15 as at midnight on 31 August of the relevant playing season.
Should you be interested in exploring this opportunity with Lancashire FA, we will be hosting a series of trial events in July / August (see below), as we look to plan & prepare our representative squad ahead of the new season.
Any players wishing to attend the trials events should complete and email the attached player nomination form, including the trial dates the player is available, to the Association;

Monday 24th July (please try to attend the first trial date where possible)
Monday 31st July
Monday 7th August
INFORMATION: Report to main reception upon arrival. The session will include an introduction at 6.00pm prompt prior to a practical session on the 3G artificial grass pitch, which will conclude at 7.30pm.
PLEASE NOTE: The only footwear permitted on the 3G pitch will be astro trainers or moulded studs. No blades (including rubber ones) or metal studs are allowed. Players will be required to bring appropriate training kit, including shinpads, for the practical session. Changing and shower facilities will also be available.
